The human need to feel important has been found to be the highest needs such as hunger because after a person has eaten there is no longer have a need for eating. Feeling important is even higher than the need for anything, the desire to feel important is the strongest human heart and is the one characteristic that separates us from the animals.
So here are some tips how you can make others feel important
Use the person's name This creates a greater level of interest in the conversation and they will listen to any statement which will follow their name. Name is one of the most important remarks for anyone it also gives a sense of attention that you remember their name.
If you want to be successful with any interaction you have to be a good listener. A good listener will make a better first impression than a good conversationalist and while listening, the most important point is to keep an eye contact with the person. To make it more impactfu,. you can lean towards the person as you listen keeping in mind that if the person is speaking you should not interrupt in between and start your conversation before the other person is done.
Another way of an effective interaction is that you will be genuinely interested in others and encourage them to talk about themselves and their interests and ask them questions that get them to talk about themselves. The fact is people are not interested in you or me they're only interested in themselves this is the fact of life and we should accept it.
Only talk to people about the things that interest them not the things that interest you. You can only capture others attention by discussing what they want and showing them how to get it.
If you want other people to feel positive about you instantly there is a hardwired message in the brain that is smile. it shows another person that you are nonthreatening and asked them to except you on a personal level this is why smiling regularly is a very important habit, to develop as a part of your body language even when you don't like smiling because it directly influences other peoples attitudes to you and how they respond to you. You have seen people who are frowning and not good facial expressions, people don't like them and they stay away from them.
6. Always be enthusiastic talk about life with positive expectancy not only will they send you to others they also become enthusiastic about you and your conversation and never criticize anyone or anything because when you criticize it is decoded by others and has low self-esteem and lack of understanding or your lack of self-confidence. 7. If someone mentions a competitor, praise the competitor's good point if you can't say something positive don't say anything, don't try to build yourself up by knocking someone else down.
If you apply the simple techniques which are stated in this article I am sure you will find what you deserve and people will start finding you and effective conversationalist.
